Luminaries Special Sessions

Attention all Alumni, Students and Industry! You are invited to a momentous occasion at IEEE ECCE 2023! Join us for an exclusive series of special sessions dedicated to honoring the contributions of two esteemed scholars in the field of power electronics:

  • Professor Fred C. Lee, Founder of the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES) at Virginia Tech.
  • Professor Thomas M. Jahns, Co-founder of the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (WEMPEC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Save the date for this extraordinary gathering of distinguished scholars, researchers, and industry leaders from around the globe as we come together to acknowledge the profound legacy of Prof. Lee and Prof. Jahns. This unique opportunity offers a chance to learn from their experiences, celebrate their remarkable achievements, and engage in discussions about future trends in this dynamic domain. Your presence will be highly valued as we commemorate the outstanding contributions of these esteemed scholars.

We invite companies whose work has been influenced by these two luminaires to showcase their work at the ECCE expo. The expo will be open all day on Tuesday with opportunities to network, leading directly into these special sessions upon the closure of the expo. Contact tiffany.v@rna-associates.com if you are interested in reserving a booth or bringing in equipment.

These two special sessions will be held concurrently on Tuesday evening October 31st, following the closure of the expo. The sessions will open with a light networking reception to be followed by the opportunity to enjoy the special session.
