According to IEEE policy, the submitted journal manuscript should include the conference paper as a reference and clarify the new developments and contributions in the journal version.
Oral Presenter Instructions
Thank you so much for presenting your paper at ECCE 2023. Please review and follow all the guidelines provided below. Oral presentations are due October 28, 2023. The presenting author will receive an upload link from the conference A/V company (Black Pearl A/V) with instructions on presentation upload. If you have not received this link, check with the first author on your paper to verify if it has gone to them. For questions regarding upload, please email info@ieee-ecce.org.
On Site Presentation Upload
The ECCE 2023 Speaker Ready Room will be open daily starting at 7:30 AM on Sunday, October 29th. Authors are welcome to come to the speaker ready room to update presentations that have been submitted or test the presentation live. Please note, any updates to the presentation need to be made the day before your session. Any presentation update the day of the session should be taken DIRECTLY to your session room 30 minutes before the Oral Session start time to load directly onto the computer. Please come prepared with the presentation directly on your USB drive.
Presentation Guidelines
Oral presentations should maintain a 16:9 aspect ratio. A standard ECCE 2023 template is provided on the website here. ECCE 2023 logo use is allowed only on presentations to be given during ECCE 2023 and must maintain a similar aspect ratio to any other logo it is positioned in line with.
Presentation Length
Panelists are given a 15-minute time frame to present. Q&A will follow each presentation or at the conclusion of all panelist’s presentations on the session chair’s discretion. Please double check the conference program for your session day and time and arrive early to check in with your session chair.
Speakers Breakfast
All oral and special session presenters are requested to come to the speakers breakfast only on the day that you are presenting. This is an opportunity to meet your session chair, update the chair on your bio and receive any additional instructions.

Poster Presentation Guidelines
Poster presentations should follow the poster template below which outlines the recommended dimensions for your poster. The same rule of ECCE 2023 logo use applies to poster presentations. On site poster printing option available. Email your poster in .pdf format and indicate the size you need to Jon at jluke@myjetprinting.com. Payment by credit card (by phone or form) and pick up on the 3rd floor of the Omni Hotel. Posters should be hung no later than 30 minutes before the start of your poster session. Special Session Proposal Submission (Due May 1st) – (Closed):
Special Sessions are solicited focusing on emerging technologies and industry-oriented topics. Industry and government organizers or speakers are of particular interest. Guest speakers will be invited on the day their session is scheduled. No written papers are required. Materials presented in the Special Sessions will not be included in the conference proceedings. Each session will be assigned either one or two 100-minute slot(s), subject to conference program scheduling. Read more…
ECCE 2023 Post-Journal Paper Presentation (Due June 8th) – (Closed):
The organizing committee is excited to announce the post-journal presentation sessions at ECCE 2023. This new initiative will provide an opportunity to the authors of published journal papers to present their work live to the ECCE audience. This new initiative will help the journal authors advocate their published ideas, while at the same time, draw attention to both the participating journals and the ECCE conference. This will be “presentation only”, as the published journal paper will not be included into the ECCE proceedings. Read more…
Late Breaking Research Publications (Due June 1st) – (Closed):
Late Breaking Research Publications are solicited focusing on emerging technologies. A two-page, camera-ready paper can be submitted by June 1st strictly following the specific paper template. The manuscript submitted under “Late Breaking Research Publications” will be subjected to peer review. The accepted papers will be featured as a poster presentation in the conference and will be made available in the conference proceedings. Note that commercialization content should be avoided. Digest Submission:
Prospective authors are requested to submit a digest with no more than five (5) pages following the template to summarize the proposed paper. The digest should include critical equations, figures, tables, and references as appropriate, and references are included within the page limit. No author names or affiliations can be shown in the submitted digests. Digests not conforming to these requirements will be rejected without review. The digests must clearly state the objectives of the work, its significance in advancing the state of the art, and the methods and specific results in sufficient details. All digests will go through a double-blind peer-review process to ensure a confidential and fair review. The papers presented at the conference will be included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Please refer to Call for Paper for a detailed list of technical topics.
Digests rejection/acceptance notification is scheduled for May 15, 2023. This is the information you will need to submit your final paper. Additional instructions will be included in a separate email(s).
Tutorial Proposal Submission:
The ECCE organizing committee invites proposals for tutorials to be presented at ECCE 2023. Tutorials can be either 1.5 hours or 3 hours long. Each accepted tutorial will receive one conference registration, and 1.5 hour tutorials will receive an honorarium of $500 and 3 hour tutorials will receive an honorarium of $1,000. Read more…
